Powers Creek Church

Our entire children’s ministry program takes place on Sunday mornings during the Worship Hour. After joining adults in singing, the children leave for age-appropriate learning and worship. Powers Creek church has an amazing team of trained and approved volunteers who lead this vital ministry.

We provide Nursery care where infants experience a time of play surrounded by volunteers who will teach and display Jesus’ love. 

Toddlers experience a fun and caring environment designed to teach through song, Bible stories, and crafts.

Children experience a time of worship and a message created specifically for them. During small-group time (K-Gr 2 / Grade 3-5) the children experience a creative, hands-on learning environment. We highlight mission awareness in the programming as well.

Middle-school-age children come together to deepen their understanding and explore ways to apply their faith. This year we are using the Dig In "Foundations of Faith" curriculum where we lay the groundwork for what it means to be a Christian. Our trained volunteers use Core Bible teaching, Object lessons, High Energy games, Crafts, and a weekly Take-Home page to equip and engage the children.

We are passionate about joyfully and safely passing our faith to the next generation (NextGEN). It is our solemn responsibility to protect and support the value and dignity of each Child and Youth under our care. All ministry personnel serving Children and Youth must complete the annual 'Plan to Protect' Orientation or Refresher Training that covers Awareness, Prevention, and Protection.
